Traveling with Orient Lines LTD. Co. is one of the world’s best value vacations. Your cruise fare entitles you to accommodations, meals and entertainment onboard ship, a gala Captain’s reception, detailed port briefings, and if you have purchased a CruiseTour program, where applicable, hotel stays and transfers between airport, hotel and ship. Not included, however are air transportation, items of a personal nature, optional programs and activities, shore excursions, meals ashore (unless otherwise stated in the included features description), gratuities, beverages, laundry, dry cleaning, telephone, telefax, e-mail, Internet usage, medical services, spa treatments, hair styling and other onboard amenities and services. Also not included are government taxes and fees, or excess baggage charges imposed by airlines. Fares shown also do not include fuel or currency surcharges that may apply at time of deposit. Please note that Orient Lines LTD. Co. does not offer recreational facilities for children.
The following provisions apply to the booking of your Cruise, or CruiseTour and are the terms and conditions that apply upon the acceptance of your deposit by Orient Lines LTD. Co. They also cover any hotel or air arrangements made on your behalf by Orient Lines LTD. Co. and packaged with cruises offered by Orient Lines LTD. Co. Information in this brochure is neither an offer nor a contract of carriage except that by making a reservation and paying your deposit, you agree to be bound by the provisions contained herein and to accept the terms and conditions of the Orient Lines LTD. Co. Passage Contract (cruise ticket), a copy of which may be obtained from your travel agent or from Orient Lines LTD. Co. The provisions herein contain important information on cancellation by the guest or by Orient Lines LTD. Co. changes in the itinerary, the limitations and exclusions of liability on the part of Orient Lines LTD. Co. the operation of the Orient Lines LTD. Co. vessel, and of independent contractors, health and immigration requirements that are your responsibility, and other relevant terms and conditions., You must be a resident of the US or Canada to book your cruise from this brochure or any promotional offer sent via e-mail, direct mail, etc. The terms, conditions, and rates that apply to residents of other countries are available upon request.
Travel agencies provide valuable service and counseling when planning Cruise and CruiseTour vacations. We encourage you to make your Orient Lines LTD. Co. reservations with a travel agent who understands your individual needs. Your entire trip can be reserved with one phone call. Travel agencies are not appointed by Orient Lines LTD. Co. They act as agents appointed by you to act on your behalf and are therefore deemed to be agents of the guest.
and final payment
Guests who do not make required deposits or final payment at appropriate times are subject to automatic cancellation without notice. Cancellation penalties as noted in the Cancellation policy section of this brochure can apply. Once Orient Lines LTD. Co. has received the required deposit, the cruise rate is secure except in the event of substantial increases in operating costs, tariffs or taxes prior to the sailing date. In such cases, Orient Lines LTD. Co. reserves the rate to add a surcharge.
The per person, per cruise deposit required to secure your reservation is $500 and must be received within 3 days of booking or sooner as deemed by Orient Lines and as noted on your confirmation invoice. A second deposit of $500 per person, per cruise is required 150 days prior to the scheduled sailing date. The balance is due no later than 90 days prior to sailing. Most major credit cards, travel agency checks, ACH, and personal checks are accepted for deposits and final payments.
Travel documents, including any air tickets are issued only after passport details have been received by Orient Lines LTD. Co, and final payment has been made to Orient Lines LTD. Co. In most cases Orient Lines LTD. Co is able to provide the final documentation no later than 30 days prior to scheduled departure. It is the responsibility of the guest to verify that the full name(s) on the reservations are the same as listed on his/her passport. Orient Lines LTD. Co. will not be responsible for cancellation fees imposed by air carriers due to incorrect name reporting by the travel agent or guest.
A full refund of the initial deposit can only be made in the same method as received when cancellation notice is made with Orient Lines LTD. Co. no later than 150 days prior to the scheduled departure date. Guests, who cancel within a period designated below, for any reason including medical reasons, are subject to the following cancellation fees per person, plus any fees related to early air schedule confirmation (said fees to be determined at time of cancellation):

*Fare is defined as the cost of any cruise, land, or air element purchased from (). All government taxes and fees, and any surcharges are fully refundable.
Voluntary or involuntary termination by the guest of a cruise or CruiseTour in progress will result in no refund. Cruise contracts are non-transferable. Name substitutions and departure date changes are considered full cancellations and are subject to above cancellation fees.
Orient Lines LTD. Co. strongly recommends and encourages all guests to purchase travel insurance of an amount to ensure adequate coverage while travelling. We offer an attractively priced policy which, is automatically issued to you at the time of reservation and included in your invoice unless coverage was declined by you or your agent of record. Please note that in order for the insurance to be effective at time of deposit, the premium amount shown on the invoice must be received by Orient Lines LTD. Co. with the initial deposit. Insurance cannot be added once final payment is made on a reservation. See the Travel Insurance details (on page 33) for more details.
Change Charges for Cruise Itineraries
Changes to a reservation after deposit and prior to issuance of travel documents may result in assessment of administrative fees and service charges beyond the control of Orient Lines. Administrative fees and service charges will vary and are based on the type of change to your cruise departure, itinerary, hotel or land package or air. Guests are responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of these changes. Some changes, including name changes, may also be considered cancellations and applicable fees will be assessed. Any changes to a reservation that result in imposition of airline or other cancellation fees are the responsibility of the guest. No refund will be made for unused or partially used portions of the cruise, air or land programs including shore excursions.
Airlines now require full passport names at time of air reservation and any changes or corrections are subject to cancellation penalties. Please check your invoice to ensure your name is spelled exactly as it appears on your passport. Any charges imposed by an air carrier to Orient Lines LTD. Co. after an air reservation is confirmed due to incorrect name reporting, will be added to the total cost of your cruise or cruise tour. Please note these charges vary and are not known to Orient Lines LTD. Co. until the correction is made by Orient Lines LTD. Co. with the carrier. Orient Lines LTD. Co. will confirm these charges via a revised invoice within 72 hours of the correction.
No refund will be made for unused or partially used portions of the air/land/cruise package. Airline tickets cannot be changed en route once travel has commenced. Any changes required to an airline ticket after travel has commenced must be secured by the guest, and any resulting fees are to the guest’s own account.
Orient Lines LTD. Co. does not operate, control or supervise any airlines and will not be responsible for carriers failing to meet schedules whether or not air tickets were issued by Orient Lines LTD. Co. For the avoidance of doubt, Orient Lines LTD. Co. is not responsible for any expenses or consequences resulting from, including, but not limited to, inclement weather, strikes, flight cancellations, changes/delays in the ship’s schedule or a change/delay in schedule or routing made by a guest, travel agent or airlines. Air transportation is based on scheduled or charter service and is subject to availability and change without notice. Air add-ons are also subject to change without notice. All such changes will be made to the guest or travel agent via a re-issued invoice and it is the responsibility of the guest or travel agent to make note of any changes. Orient Lines LTD. Co. or its agents reserves the right to select the airline and routing from each city, which may not in cases be the most direct. In the event Orient Lines LTD. Co. or its agent’s air arrangements necessitate an overnight stay, Orient Lines LTD. Co. is only responsible for hotel room accommodations and requisite transfers. Air upgrade charges may only cover international travel sectors and inter-continental travel sectors within Europe, Asia, or South America may be in coach. Please inquire at time of booking. Specific air routings will be provided within 7-10 days of initial deposit. The routings advised are subject to change until the airline ticket is issued by Orient Lines LTD. Co. or its agent. Guests traveling with other guests from different gateway departure cities are not routed on the same flights. If an airline ticket issued in conjunction with Orient Lines LTD. Co. air program is lost, the guest is responsible for the full cost of replacement. Airline tickets are only refundable to Orient Lines LTD. Co. Orient Lines LTD. Co. will determine the amount of any refund due.
In addition to the above limitations, Orient Lines LTD. Co. will have no responsibility, financial or otherwise, in regard to travel arrangements made by others including those related to the use of frequent flyer, non-refundable, and other restricted travel tickets. This exclusion of liability by Orient Lines LTD. Co. includes the consequences to independently arranged travel that may result from last-minute changes in the embarkation or debarkation ports, cancellation of pre/post package, prepaid transfers, or tour arrangements, and delays in arrival at the departure airport(see the Passage Contract for more details of these exclusions from liability). The travel insurance policy should be checked in regard to its coverage of such independent air or other travel arrangements. Guests who elect to make their own travel arrangements in conjunction with their cruise should allow for delays and misconnections in their plans.
Porterage is included at the pier on embarkation and disembarkation. Porterage is not included at airports, as agents of Orient Lines LTD. Co. are no longer allowed to access secured baggage areas. Please make sure your luggage is labeled with your full name, cabin number, and hotel name (if applicable. Please use the appropriate luggage tags provided by Orient Lines LTD. Co. for this purpose. Hand or unlocked baggage, travel documents, breakable items, medicines and valuables as allowed should be carried personally. Orient Lines LTD. Co. strongly recommends baggage insurance. Orient Lines LTD. Co. is not responsible for the loss of or damage to guest luggage.
A reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects may be taken on board the ship without any charge. However, in today’s travel environment, and with stricter baggage limitations imposed by air carriers, for your own comfort and convenience, we recommend you contact and familiarize yourself with the luggage limitations imposed by your designated air carrier for international and domestic (or inter-continental) flights. Please note that airlines may refuse to carry excess baggage or may charge additional fees based on the size, weight, or number of pieces of baggage carried aboard their aircraft. Orient Lines LTD. Co. will not be responsible for any excess charges imposed by an air carrier for non-compliance with the stated requirements. Hand luggage contents, size, and weight is subject to security requirements imposed by the TSA or by local governments in each country of arrival and departure. excursions and land tours
The land packages contained in the brochure can only be purchased in conjunction with Orient Lines LTD. Co. cruises. Certain land packages and excursions will not operate without a minimum participation, and others may have a maximum capacity limitation. The sequence of escorted land tours may vary from the brochure description. If, for any reason, a hotel, sightseeing, or entertainment feature is canceled or otherwise unavailable, Orient Lines LTD. Co. reserves the right to cancel, make substitutions or omissions and is under no obligation except that in the event of cancellation you will receive a full refund of any payments received for that service. Some excursions may be included on many itineraries listed within this brochure. No refunds will be made to guests who elect not to partake in included shore excursions.
Guests with Special Needs
Some shore excursions or land packages offered by Orient Lines LTD. Co. require a higher level of activity than others. Please consult with your travel agent, Orient Lines LTD. Co., or in the case of shore excursions purchased onboard the vessel, your tour manager to ensure that you don’t have any physical limitations that preclude you from participating in land packages or offered excursions.
Orient Lines LTD. Co. is equipped with limited medical facilities and staffed by international medical personnel. Customary fees and charges do apply for medical services provided. Fees may be incurred for medical services required on-shore.
Whenever possible, Orient Lines LTD. Co. will try to accommodate guests with special needs. However, the following conditions apply:
Medical Situations: Any physical disability or medical condition that requires special treatment or medical apparatus must be reported to Orient Lines LTD. Co. reservations staff in writing along with the first deposit, which is due at time of booking. These include, but are not limited to wheelchairs, oxygen therapy, dialysis, service animals, etc. Guests who need oxygen or require oxygen therapy must supply their own oxygen, and are fully responsible for arrangements of oxygen overseas. Liquid oxygen is not permitted onboard.
Pregnancy and Infants: Availability of medical care while at sea or in port may be limited or delayed. Therefore, Orient Lines LTD. Co. will not accept reservations for women who will have entered their 24 th week of pregnancy by the time their travel with Orient Lines concludes. Guests further understand and agree that no infants under the age of six (6) months are permitted aboard the vessel.
Wheelchairs: Guests confined to wheelchairs must provide their own collapsible chair and may find certain areas of the ship and shore side inaccessible. In situations where a guest with special requirements, such as a wheelchair or any other medical mobility device, would be unable to be comfortably accommodated due to ship safety barriers and other criteria, we may ask that the guest be accompanied by a companion to assist, or to make other arrangements.
Orient Lines LTD. Co. has the right to refuse or revoke passage to anyone who, in its judgment, is in a physical, mental or emotional condition unfit for travel, or whose comfort onboard may be compromised due to situations beyond the care that can be provided by Orient Lines LTD. Co. Once travel has commenced, if a guest’s medical condition requires repatriation to point of departure, any costs incurred are to the guest’s own account.
The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages is limited to guests aged 21 years or older. Orient Lines will refuse and prohibits the sale or service of alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 21. Guests are reminded to consume alcohol in moderation. Orient Lines reserves the right to prohibit and retain all alcohol bought ashore for consumption onboard the vessel.
Orient Lines LTD. Co. is not to be held responsible for any act, event or omission during the time guests are not aboard the Orient Lines LTD. Co. vessel. Orient Lines LTD. Co. acts only as an agent for the supplier of off-ship services such as airlines and other off-ship transportation carriers, meals, shore excursion, accommodations, air ambulance and shore-side physicians. Guests agree not to hold Orient Lines LTD. Co., its owners, agents or representatives liable for any loss, injury, expense or damage which results directly or indirectly from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise, of any third party person or firm which is to, or does provide goods or services in connection with the trip or any available option. Without limiting the foregoing, Orient Lines LTD. Co. shall have no liability to guests for the quality of services at, and the condition, cleanliness or safety of, a hotel, housing facility, or conveyance, or for any transportation delay, including but not limited to liability for inconvenience, shortened vacation time, additional expenses, or any other kind of damage. Orient Lines LTD. Co. expressly disclaims all responsibility of any nature whatsoever for any loss, damage or injury to property or person resulting from air, rail, motorcoach or any other form of transportation.
The responsibility of Orient Lines LTD. Co. and the operators of the Orient Lines LTD. Co. vessel is strictly limited according to the terms and conditions set forth in the Passage Contract that you will receive prior to embarkation. You are urged to read the Passage Contract carefully. A sample is available to be mailed on request and can be downloaded from the Orient Lines LTD. Co. website at any time. Transportation onboard the ship is provided solely by the ship operator and pursuant to the Passage Contract. Orient Lines LTD. Co. reserves the right to accept or decline any person as a guest for any reason.
cancellation and Itinerary Changes
Orient Lines LTD. Co. reserves the right to cancel, advance or postpone any cruise at any time prior to the scheduled sailing date and Orient Lines LTD. Co. sole responsibility in the event of cancellation is to provide you with a full refund of any payments received. In addition, situations may arise which, in the opinion of Orient Lines LTD. Co. make it necessary to change itineraries or make substitutions or omissions, involving hotels, restaurants, ports of call, other travel components, vessels or other modes of transportation, whether before or after the sailing of the vessel, without previous notice to the guest. If this should occur, Orient Lines LTD. Co. does not assume responsibility or liability for any losses, inconveniences, or expenses incurred by guests as a result. Orient Lines LTD. Co. is not required to make refunds once travel commences, regardless of the reason for a guest being unable to complete their travel. In the event of changes in the itinerary, no partial refunds will be made and if by action of government or port authorities the related costs are increased, Orient Lines LTD. Co. reserves the right to pass along such increase.
Orient Lines LTD. Co. visits a large number of ports in numerous countries around the world. At any given moment there are likely to be “trouble spots” in the world in terms of crime and/or war or terrorist actions. Accordingly, it may be necessary to change the published cruise or shore excursion itinerary. Any such changes are for your safety and beyond Orient Lines LTD. Co. control. While Orient Lines LTD. Co. endeavors to provide reasonable protection on board its ship, Orient Lines LTD. Co. cannot guarantee freedom from all risks associated with war, terrorism, crime, or other potential sources of harm. Orient Lines LTD. Co. reminds all guests that they must ultimately assume responsibility for their actions ashore. The US Department of State, the Canadian Consular Affairs Bureau of Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and other similar government agencies regularly issue advisories and warnings to travelers giving details of local conditions in specified cities and countries according to the agency’s perception of risk to the travelers. Orient Lines LTD. Co. strongly recommends that guests and their travel professionals obtain and consider such information when making travel decisions.
Orient Lines, its masters, managers, pursers or any other figure of authority aboard the vessel reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to disembark any guest, in any port of call, for any reason, should they be considered a nuisance to or endanger the “quiet enjoyment” of guests onboard or if they are found to be a nuisance, threat or danger to guests, staff or otherwise hinder the safe and secure operation of the vessel or any associated land programs. Any guest(s) disembarked from the vessel or associated land programs are solely responsible for any costs incurred with repatriation. The full cruise fare will be considered earned and retained and no refunds or reimbursements given.
How much you choose to tip is a personal matter and completely at your discretion. For your convenience, gratuities of $12 per guest per day are automatically added to your shipboard account. Guest may adjust gratuities at their sole discretion.
The information in this brochure replaces any previously published, and is subject to change without notice. Every effort is made to produce this information accurately. Orient Lines LTD. Co. is not responsible for any typographical errors, omissions or misprints and reserves the right to correct errors. If cost factors dictate the need for increases, Orient Lines LTD. Co. may do so prior to departure and without notice. Except as otherwise contained herein, fully paid or deposited guests will be protected at these published fares.
Law and Forum
This contract is issued at Osceola County, Florida. As to any cruise that does not begin, end or call at a port in the United States of America, Carrier shall have the full benefit of any and all damages limitations, immunities and rights applicable to Carrier under the "Convention Relating to the Carriage of Passengers and Their Luggage by Sea" of 1974 as well as the "Protocol to the Convention Relating to the Carriage of Passengers and Their Luggage by Sea" of 1976 ("Athens Convention"). The Athens Convention limits our liability for death of or personal injury to a passenger to no more than the applicable amount of Special Drawing Rights as defined therein (approximately U.S. $70,000, which fluctuates depending on the daily exchange rate as published in the Wall Street Journal). In addition, and on all other cruises, all the exemptions from and limitations of liability provided in or authorized by the laws of the United States shall apply, including Title 46 of the United States Code, sections 30501 through 30509 and 30511. Except as otherwise set forth, this contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the general maritime law of the United States; to the extent such maritime law is not applicable, it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida (U.S.A.). JURISDICTION AND VENUE FOR ALL MATTERS AND DISPUTES ARISING UNDER, IN CONNECTION WITH OR INCIDENT TO THIS CONTRACT SHALL BE IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE MIDDLE DISTRICT OF FLORIDA, OR, AS TO THOSE LAWSUITS WHICH THE FEDERAL COURTS OF THE UNITED STATES LACK SUBJECT MATTER JURISDICTION, IN THE COURTS OF OSCEOLA COUNTY, STATE OF FLORIDA, U.S.A., TO THE EXCLUSION OF THE COURTS OF ANY OTHER COUNTY, STATE OR COUNTRY.
