CELEBRATION, Fla., August 27, 2008 - Amalfi, St. Tropez, Mykonos, Mallorca, Monte Carlo and Santorini, just their names alone evoke romantic images of the picture-perfect summer holiday. In 2009, Orient Lines will visit all of them in addition to a host of new ports in the Baltic, Black Sea, British Lake District, Croatia, North Cape and Northern Europe.
ORIENT LINES ANNOUNCES NEW FLAGSHIP
Celebration, Fla., August 20, 2008 – Orient Lines, the destination cruise specialists, has announced that its new flagship – Marco Polo II – will carry 650 guests in 325 staterooms, two thirds of which are outside. The cruise liner, which most recently sailed as Maxim Gorkiy, will make her maiden voyage for Orient Lines in April 2009.
BRUCE NIERENBERG JOINS ORIENT LINES AS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
CELEBRATION, Fla., July 23, 2008 - Bruce Nierenberg has been appointed executive vice president of Orient Lines effective immediately. The announcement was made by Wayne Heller, the line’s president and CEO. Nierenberg will have direct responsibility for worldwide marketing and sales, and will oversee product development.

ORIENT LINES REBORN UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
Celebration, Fla., June 26, 2008 – Orient Lines, the destination cruise specialist founded by British cruise and tour entrepreneur Gerry Herrod in 1992, has now been acquired by another cruise industry visionary, Wayne Heller. Heller’s Origin Cruise Group LLC purchased the award-winning brand from Star Cruises Limited.
Orient Lines was founded in 1992 by British entrepreneur Gerry Herrod to offer cruise vacations to exotic destinations at affordable prices aboard the cruise ship Marco Polo. In July 1998, Herrod sold the brand to Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), who operated the line with relatively few changes for nearly a decade. In March 2008, NCL sold Marco Polo.
Wayne and Judy Heller
Wayne Heller has had a professional and personal passion for cruising for most of his adult life. Upon graduating from Florida State University he was hired by Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) – formerly Norwegian Caribbean Line. An ambitious go-getter, Heller held various positions that provided invaluable cross-training in passenger services and sales.
